Located on the amazing Blowering Reservoir on the north western fringe of the Kosciuszko National Park, Yachting Point is located around a six minute drive from the small town of Talbingo. Yachting Point offers all the benefits of a camping ground on a river, including swimming, fishing and boating. The reservoir is renowned for its great jet skiing. Sparse areas of grass at the beginning of the campsite is a great addition to this campsite.
The Yachting Point camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located 10km north of Talbingo up the Snowy Mountains Highway. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan, with the campground only 50m off the main highway. The campsite is well signed.
The camping ground offers over one hundred individual campsites. Due to the grassed area as you enter the campsite, this is the most preferred area.
Given the location of the Yachting Point campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing, swimming and boating in the river, with jet skiing being a favourite amongst campers.
Best Time To Go
Given the campground is located in close proximity to the Great Dividing Range, it is recommended that the campground is visited during the warmer months. The roads in the region can get icy at times.
