TWO MILE FLAT
NUMBER OF CAMPSITES: 30+
THE VIBE: 7
Located on the banks of the Dargo River in the Dargo State Forest, Two Mile Flat is located just a ten minute drive from the small town of Dargo. Two Mile Flat offers all the benefits of a camping ground on the banks of a river, including swimming, fishing and canoeing.
The Two Mile Flat camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located on the gravel Upper Dargo Road, approximately 7km from the sealed Dargo High Plains Road in central Dargo. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan.
The camping ground offers over thirty individual campsites. All the campsites are very similar but the best spot is to the left of the entrance.
Given the location of the Two Mile Flat campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing and swimming in the Dargo river. This is also a very popular location for kayakers and canoeists especially during spring when the river is running quite rapidly.
Best Time To Go
There is no "best" time to visit Two Mile Flat. The campground is good all year round as is not subject to flooding and the ground doesn't often get too hard given the extensive grass cover.
