Located on the Waterhouse passage on the north eastern coast of Tasmania, the South Croppies Point campground offers all the benefits of a campground on a beach, including fishing and swimming.
The South Croppies Point camping ground is reasonably easy to access. Turn north off B82, 27km north east of Bridport onto Homestead road. Then turn left after 6.3km for 4km. The combined 10km road into the campsite is a gravel road that can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan.
The camping ground offers around five to ten individual campsites. There is really no preferred spot at this campground.
Whilst there is no boating launching ability at this campground, the fishing and swimming is sufficient enough to keep the family entertained.
Best Time To Go
The proximity of the campground to the beach makes it more appropriate to visit this campsite in the warmer months.
