POOGINOOK CONSERVATION RESERVE
NUMBER OF CAMPSITES: 20+
SOUTH AUSTRALIA, AUSTRALIA
THE VIBE: 5.5
Located in the Pooginook Conservation Park in western South Australia, Pooginook is located around a twenty five minute drive from the small town of Morgan. Pooginook offers all the benefits of a camping ground in a conservation park, including bushwalks.
The Pooginook camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located 1.8km off the B64, with the turnoff approximately 45km east of Morgan. The road into the camping ground is a little sandy and doesn't get used too often. The road can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and small caravan. The road in is quite well signed.
The campground offers over twenty individual campsites. Given all the campsites are very similar, there is no actual "Best Spot". The individual sites are quite rocky.
Given the Pooginook campground is located in a conservation park, bushwalks are aplenty. No other activities are available given the location.
Best Time To Go
The Pooginook campground can be visited at any time. Given the road in is sandy, it isn't recommended to go after heavy rains.
