The camping ground offers around forty individual campsites. The area is generally quite flat and has ample grass coverage, so there is really no "best spot".
The location of the Mt Franklin camping ground offers access to various walks throughout the Hepburn Region. Make sure you take the walk to the top of the mountain for great view over the surrounding region.
Best Time To Go
Given the campground is located in the crater, the winter months mean reduced sunshine and cooler conditions. Summer would be a preferred time to visit.
