Located in the heart of Kooyoora State Park in central Victoria, Melvilles Caves camping ground is located just a few minutes from the small town of Kingower. Melvilles Caves offers all the benefits of a camping ground in a state park, including numerous hikes. Be sure to take the short walk to the caves. The view from the top with the sun setting over the surrounding plains should not be missed.
The Mevilles Caves camping ground is a dedicated site, located around a 20 minute drive east of St Arnaud. The road in is sealed the whole way and can accommodate vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
The camping ground offers around fifty individual campsites with ample shade and sunny spots. All the campsites are very similar and there is no individual site that is more appealing than any other. Watch out for the couple of ants nests around.
Given the Melvilles Caves camping ground is located in the heart of a state park, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include hiking, with the caves walk being the most popular option.
