MAJORS CREEK RESERVE
NUMBER OF CAMPSITES: 100+
THE VIBE: 8.5
Located on the banks of Majors Creek in central Victoria, Majors Creek Reserve is located just a few minutes from the town of Mitchellstown. Majors Creek Reserve offers all the benefits of a camping ground on the banks of a river, including swimming and fishing. If you are lucky you will hear the occasional gun shots fired from the Pukapunyal army base located close by.
The Majors Creek Reserve camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located approximately 700m from Mitchellstown, just on the right hand side after you cross the bridge. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan.
The campground offers over one hundred individual campsites. All the campsites are very similar and there is no individual site that is more appealing than any other. There are two main areas with pit toilets close by.
Given the location of the Majors Creek Reserve
campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing and swimming in Majors Creek, but it is not really sufficient a creek for any other water based activities.
Best Time To Go
Given the campground is located on the banks of the creek, it is recommended that the campground is visited during the warmer months. The campground is not subject to flooding given its elevation in relation to the water level.
