Located just north of the Musselroe Bay Conservation Area, the Little Musselroe Bay campground offers the benefits of camping close to the coast. Whilst boating isn't really available, popular past times such as kayaking, fishing and swimming are available.
The Little Musselroe Bay campground is located approximately 23km north of Gladstone via the Cape Portland road (C844) then Little Musselroe Bay road. The road into the campground is a pretty average dirt road all the way from Gladstone.
The camping ground offers around twenty individual campsites. The best spot is back behind the shrubs, out of the wind.
Swimming and fishing are also popular past times at Little Musselroe Bay, if you dare brave the cold temperatures of Bass Strait. Kayaking is available but no access is available for watercraft.
