Located on the magnificent Eyre Peninsula on the south coast of South Australia, Lipson Cove camping ground is located around a ten minute drive from the picturesque town of Tumby Bay. Lipson Cove offers all the benefits of a camping ground on the coast, including swimming, fishing and boating. The campground is renowned for its spectacular views.
The Lipson Cove camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located 8km off the Lincoln Highway, with the turnoff approximately 10km from Tumby Bay. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan.
The camping ground offers around forty to fifty individual campsites. The best spot to camp is along the fence line.
Given the location of the Lipson Cove campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing, swimming, surfing and boating in the Gulf. The campground offers beach access for boats and 4WD's, and therefore the ability to launch small watercraft.
Best Time To Go
Given the campground is located on the Spencer Gulf, it is recommended that the campground is visited during the warmer months. It is however a nice place to visit all year round.
