NUMBER OF CAMPSITES: 100

Located on the banks of the Dargo River in the Dargo State Forest, Jimmy Iversons Flat is located just a ten minute drive from the small town of Dargo. Jimmy Iversons Flat offers all the benefits of a camping ground on the banks of a river, including swimming, fishing and canoeing.
The Jimmy Iversons Flat camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located on the gravel Upper Dargo Road, approximately 7km from the sealed Dargo High Plains Road in central Dargo. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan.
The camping ground offers over one hundred individual campsites. All the campsites are very similar but the best spot is the furthest from the entrance near the river.
Given the location of the Jimmy Iversons Flat campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing and swimming in the Dargo river. This is also a very popular location for kayakers and canoeists especially during spring when the river is running quite rapidly.
Best Time To Go
There is no "best" time to visit Jimmy Iversons Flat. The campground is good all year round and is not subject to flooding and the ground doesn't often get too hard given the extensive grass cover.
