Located on the banks of the Murray river on the Victorian border, Gonn Crossing is located just a few minutes from the town of Murrabit. Gonn Crossing offers all the benefits of a camping ground on the banks of the Murray, including swimming, fishing and boating. Look out for the huge market at Murrabit on the first Saturday of each month. You are bound to get a bargain.
The Gonn Crossing camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located 50m off the main road just before you cross the Murray river into New South Wales. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan.
The campground offers around five individual campsites. All the campsites are very similar and there is no individual site that is more appealing than any other.
Given the location of the Gonn Crossing campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for
campers include fishing and swimming in the Murray river, and all other water based activities. The boat ramp offers the ease of launching a small boat.
Best Time To Go
Given the campground is located on the banks of the Murray river, it is recommended that the campground is visited during the warmer months. Even though the campground is not subject to flooding, it can get quite muddy after heavy rains. The ground can also get very hard during the warmer months.
