Our fifth southern most campsite in Australia! If you want to camp as close to the Antartica as possible, this is pretty much your spot. Wild and rugged, but also quite a beautiful place. Unlike Boltons Green, a national park pass is not required to camp at this campsite.

Access

The Gilhams Beach camping ground is reasonably easy to access. Head south for 21km from the A6/C635 junction. The gravel road is quite long but is in good enough condition to travel on with a two wheel drive and caravan. The road can get quite wet in the winter months. If you get to Finns Beach campground, you have gone too far.

Best Spot

The camping ground offers around forty to fifty individual campsites. There is really no preferred spot at this campground.

Activities

The bay offers up a great opportunity to throw a line in or take a dip in the cold water.

Best Time To Go

Warmer months. It can get pretty cold down here!
