Located in the Mount Canobolas State Recreation Area in central New South Wales, Four Mile Creek is located around a fifteen minute drive from the popular town of Orange. Four Mile Creek offers a large array of activities especially when the lake is full.
The Four Mile Creek camping ground is very easy to access. From Orange, head south along Forest Road then veer to the right on to Cadia Road. Just past the small town of Springside, take a right onto Four Mile Creek Road. The campsite is around 7.5km down the road on the left hand side. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan.
The camping ground offers around twenty to thirty individual campsites. Hook around to the left as you enter, for the best spot just near the bridge.
Given the location of the Four Mile Creek campground, it offers numerous activities. The lake provides opportunity for swimming, fishing, kayaking and boating, whilst the State Forest has some great walks available.
Best Time To Go
Given the large number of water based activities on offer, the campsite should be visited during the warmer months to experience its true potential.
