Located on the western fringe of the Great Dividing Range in eastern New South Wales, Flat Rock is located around a twenty minute drive from the popular town of Bathurst. Flat Rock has some great characteristics including bins, firewood for sale and established BBQ areas.
The Flat Rock camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located 7km east of O'Connell towards Tarana, with the turnoff campground literally just off the main road. The road into the camping ground is a good sealed road that can easily be accessed by all types of vehicles.
The camping ground offers around forty individual campsites. The area at the bottom of the hill near the river provides plenty of protection, so would probably be the most enjoyable location.
Given the location of the Flat Rock campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing and swimming in the river. Purchase a code from the local tourist bureau to purchase firewood at the campground.
Best Time To Go
