Located in the Alpine National Park in south eastern Victoria, Connors Plain has amazing views over the surrounding mountains. Connors Plain offers all the benefits of a camping ground in the Alpine National Park, such as Alpine hiking.
The Connors Plain camping ground is quite easy to locate but not the best road to travel on. The camping ground is located approximately 20km north of the small town of Licola, with the road being sealed for 12km then a very bumpy road for 8km. A 2WD vehicle can travel on this road but caravans are not recommended. The road is closed during the winter.
The camping ground offers over fifty individual campsites. Although the actual camping ground is to the left of the road in, the flattest spots with the best views are to the right of the road.
There are basically no activities at this campground. You would visit this location to merely sit around and relax for the entirety of the trip. Alternatively it is a good spot to rest if trecking through the mountains.
Best Time To Go
Given the campground is located at a high altitude, it is recommended that the campground is visited during the warmer months. The campground would be covered by snow in the winter and the road in is closed.
