COCKLE CREEK CAMPGROUND

Our second southern most campsite in Australia! If you want to camp as close to the Antartica as possible, this is pretty much your spot. Wild and rugged, but also quite a beautiful place. Unlike Boltons Green, a national park pass is not required to camp at this campsite.
The Cockle Creek camping ground is reasonably easy to access. Head south for 26km from the A6/C635 junction. The gravel road is quite long but is in good enough condition to travel on with a two wheel drive and caravan. The road can get quite wet in the winter months. If you get to Boltons Green campground, you have gone too far.
The camping ground offers around twenty individual campsites. There is really no preferred spot at this campground.
The boat ramp and bay make a great combination to launch a boat, do a bit of swimming, or fishing.
Best Time To Go
Warmer months. It can get pretty cold down here!
