Located in the heart of country New South Wales, Burraga Dam is located around a five minute drive from the small town of Burraga. The dam offers a great opportunity to enjoy camping, whilst being able to cool off in the warmer months with a dip in the water or throw a line in to catch dinner for the night.
The Burraga Dam camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located approximately 150km west of Sydney, with the turnoff approximately 1.7km east of Burraga, north off Arkstone Road. The road into the camping ground is a 1.3km gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan.
The camping ground offers over one hundred individual campsites. Given the campground is right on the dam, the best spot is anywhere close to the dam. Throwing a line out from right next to your tent is magic.
Given the location of the Burraga Dam campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing and swimming in the dam, however swimming is not permitted near the dam wall.
Best Time To Go
Given the campground is located on the dam, it is recommended that the campground is visited during the warmer months.
