Located in the Otway National Park on the south coast of Victoria, Big Hill is located around a ten minute drive from the popular coastal town, Lorne. Big Hill offers all the benefits of a camping ground in a National Park including hiking.

Access

The Big Hill camping ground is very easy to access. The camping ground is located 100m off the Deans Marsh-Lorne Road, with the turnoff approximately 11km north of Lorne or 10km south of Deans Marsh. The road into the camping ground is a gravel road but can easily be accessed by a two wheel drive and caravan. The road into the campground is closed between June and October.

Best Spot

The camping ground offers around twenty individual campsites. The gradient is quite poor and the area has minimal grass coverage, so there is really no "best spot".

Activities

The location of the Big Hill camping ground offers access to various walks throughout the Otway National Park.

Best Time To Go

Given the campground can get very muddy and wet after rains, it is recommended that it is visited during the warmer months.
