Located on the famous River Derwent in central Tasmania, the Bethune Park camping ground provides a nice little spot for a boating, fishing and swimming camping getaway, with the only downfall being that it restricted to a 7 night stay.

Access

The Bethune Park camping ground is reasonably easy to access. Turn south off A10 onto C608, 8km west of Hamilton or 7km south east of Ouse. The campsite is located on the west side of Lake Meadowbank towards Dunrobin Bridge.

Best Spot

The camping ground offers around fifty individual campsites. Grab a spot at the top areas as the bottom area is a little swampy.

Activities

The boat ramp and lake make this campsite a great spot to camp out for the night. Swimming, fishing and the ability to use watercraft, provide an ample array of activities at this location.

Best Time To Go

As with most of the campsites located in Tasmania, we recommend you visit this one in the warmer months.
