WOW! One of our favourite campsites in New South Wales. Located at the Bendeela Catchment in south eastern New South Wales, Bendeela Reserve has the feel of a US campground. Lush green grass, wide open spaces, huge trees and a river for activities, this campground is something special. We would have rated this a ten out of ten if not for the restrictions on wood fires (gas allowed) and no dogs. You will need to register at the gates but the camping is still free.
The access to the Bendeela Reserve camping ground is very steep however we believe you would not have any trouble towing a caravan in. The camping ground is located 7km west of Kangaroo Valley down the Bendeela Road. The road into the camping ground is a sealed road.
The camping ground offers over one thousand individual campsites. This place is huge and you will enjoy wherever you decide to setup camp for the night.
Given the location of the Bendeela Reserve campground, it offers numerous activities. Activities available for campers include fishing, swimming and boating, however motor boats are not allowed. The place is so huge that you could play any ball sport you could think of.
Best Time To Go
A portion of the campground is closed in the colder months (refer photos) but there are still ample campsites available during such time. This is a magic location and can be visited at any time of the year.
